CONSTITUTION

The club will be known as the Moray Muscle Group

Objects

The object of the Moray Muscle Group is to promote the hobby and lifestyle of American, Hot Rod & Custom vehicles.

 To provide at least one show event each year and attend shows as a group with all venues decided at the meeting by members.

To provide a club newsletter quarterly.

Membership

Membership shall run from January to December each year.

Membership fees to be reviewed at the 11th meeting (prior to the Annual General Meeting) and decided by the committee.

Membership is due for renewal on or before the Annual General Meeting.

All members will receive a reminder one month before membership renewal becomes due.

If after a period of two months from the renewal date membership remains unpaid, the member is deemed to have left the club.

The committee can also refuse membership.

The committee can also co-opt extra members considered necessary to operate various functions of the club.

Committee

The club affairs will be administrated on behalf of the members by a committee of 4, formed and elected from members of the Moray Muscle Group at the A.G.M for a period of twelve months. The committee consists of: Chairman, Vice-Chairman, Treasurer and secretary. All club members are eligible to stand for the committee.

 In the event of more than one member proposed for post, then an election will be held and the majority vote holder will be appointed.

The preceding Chairman will always hold the casting vote.

A copy of the clubs accounts can be circulated to a member if requested.

 

Annual General Meeting

The Annual General Meeting will be held in December each year.

Paid up members of the club present on the day of the Annual General Meeting will be eligible to vote.

The meeting will be chaired by the preceding Chairman until the new Chairman is elected.

Proxy voting will not be allowed.

 

Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM)

An EGM may be called at any time by a minimum of 5 Moray Muscle Group members. A petition, stating the business of which it is required, signed by the 5 members is to be sent to the committee requesting an EGM.

 The committee must call an EGM within 6 weeks of receiving the petition.

Dissolution

If in the event of a lack of interest or falling membership, and it is deemed that the club is no longer viable, the club shall be dissolved at an EGM and all club assets shall be donated to worthy causes designated by members at the final Moray Muscle Group meeting.

Disclaimer

The Moray Muscle Group will not be held responsible for any personal injuries, lost or damaged property or any legal matters, while on Club functions, runs etc. Participation is at members own risk. Vehicles are expected to be in a roadworthy condition and insured.

 

Data Protection Act

We are required under the Data Protection Act 1998 to inform you that the Moray Muscle Group holds on computer information regarding each member i.e.:

Each member’s name, Postal Address and telephone numbers.

These details are regarded as strictly confidential, but passed on to other members of the Moray Muscle Group. Because of the Data Protection Act we can only give information that we hold on you to other members with your full knowledge. You can ask that this information is not passed on.
