Lachie's Jeep Wagoneer

This 1972 Jeep Wagoneer with a straight six cylinder 4.3 engine 3 speed manual gearbox originally belonged to Rothes Estate before ending up in Speybay Scrapyard!

It was rescued from there by a guy based at RAF Lossiemouth who did some minor repairs on the Jeep before being sold on to a guy from Newmill, Keith. It stayed with him for while before Lachie bought it in 2002.

Lachie gave the Jeep another few minor repairs and actually took it on a cruise to Skye that year. Turning the Jeep into a temporary "Camper Van" when he found all the B&B's booked up for the weekend and ended up sleeping in the back!! Very comfy it was too!!!

Having so much other projects to complete over the last few years, Lachie has only recently had the time to go back to restoring the Jeep.  And to his delight he found that the Jeep was in remarkable condition for its age.  He just had to do some welding, scrub out the interior, fit a nice set of wheels and finally a complete re-spray, from a rather outdated silver & green to a nice fresh striking Red!
